Completing an AMI diploma at the Montessori Institute of North Texas can also qualify you for credit toward a master’s degree or bachelor’s degree at select universities.
This transfer credit can save time, lower costs, and open pathways to advanced specializations.

University of Hartford | Center for Montessori Studies
Your MINT AMI diploma can count toward a university degree. The University of Hartford in Connecticut offers Post-Montessori pathways that evaluate completed AMI training for credit toward a bachelor’s or master’s degree.
Bachelor’s degree: Apply your training toward a Bachelor of Arts in University Studies with a Montessori concentration. Eligible applicants may receive up to 31 credits for an AMI 0–3 diploma or up to 40 credits for an AMI 3–6 or 6–12 diploma. Additional qualifying college credits may transfer. At least 30 credits must be completed through Hartford, which may be online or in-person depending on program selection.
Master’s degree: Apply your AMI training toward a Master of Education pathway. University coursework is fully online, with no required login times. Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree, and their Montessori diploma is evaluated through Hartford’s partner, Montessori Training Center Northeast.
Credit awards and remaining degree requirements depend on individual evaluation. Financial aid may be available to eligible students.
Loyola University Maryland | Center for Montessori Education
MINT diploma graduates can apply their MACTE credential to earn up to 15 graduate credits towards Loyola’s M.Ed. in Montessori Education program.
Since 2004 MINT has collaborated with The Institute of Educational Studies (TIES). TIES grants credit for the AMI 0-3, 3-6 and 6-12 diploma training towards the M.Ed. in Montessori Integrative Learning.
