3-6 Diploma Course

Academic Year Format

The 3-6 Academic Year Diploma Course focuses on Montessori pedagogy and practices for children from 3 to 6 years of age, the characteristics and needs expressed during this stage of development, and the means available to assist the child’s work of self-construction. The teacher is trained to act as a vital link between children and their surroundings; all children explore freely at their own pace.

  • This course is completely on-site, taking place during the academic year September 2024 - May 2025.

  • Course Tuition: $12,000*

    Includes a non-refundable deposit of $500 due within 10 days of acceptance.

    $100 on or before June 15, 2024 (Non-Refundable)

    $150 after June 15, 2024 (Non-Refundable)

    MACTE Fee: $250

    International Student Fee: $400

Meet the Trainer

Kim Altmeyer, M.Ed., Director of 3-6 Training

Kim Altmeyer holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from the University of Texas at Arlington, the AMI Primary Diploma from the Sydney Montessori Teacher’s College in Sydney, Australia, and a Master’s in Education with focus on Montessori from Loyola University in Baltimore, Maryland. She has 14 years of experience as a Course Assistant for AMI Primary teacher training courses, including at the AMI Montessori Training Center of St. Louis and the International Training Center of Montessori Education of China in Hangzhou, China, and in a laboratory school setting in the Kansas City Public School District, where she created eight Primary environments in a public school setting. She has been a Primary guide in AMI Montessori schools in Massachusetts, Illinois, Missouri, and Texas, most recently at The Barbara Gordon Montessori School in Colleyville, Texas (now Waypoint Montessori). She currently serves as Primary Trainer at MINT.
