Officers
Cecilia Galbraith, President
Cecilia received her Primary diploma (AMS) from Xavier University in 1977. She received her Elementary diploma (AMI) from Washington Montessori Institute in 1994. She has a B.S. in Speech Pathology and Audiology, and an M.A. in Education. Cecilia has worked in Dallas at the primary and elementary level at Montessori Children’s House and School and St Alcuin Montessori School. She later served as Head of School at The Barbara Gordon Montessori School. Cecilia has two children who are graduates of St. Alcuin. She currently serves on the Board at Montessori Children’s House and School.
Peggy Larson, M.A., Vice President
Peggy holds the AMI Primary diploma from the Texas Montessori Education Center, a B.A. in Arts and Sciences from Dallas Baptist University, and an M.A. in Contemplative Education from Naropa University. After enrolling her children in DCW Memorial Montessori School in Oak Cliff, Peggy joined the staff there as the Office Manager for many years. After earning her Primary diploma she began working at what was then St. Alcuin Montessori School where her 2 children graduated. Over her 30 years at what is now the Alcuin School, Peggy has served as a Primary Assistant, Office Manager, Director of Admission and currently as the Associate Head of School for the Early Childhood Program and Director of Primary. Peggy has served on visiting committees at other Montessori schools for accreditation in the Independent Schools Association of the Southwest.
Kathleen Muirhead, R.N., Secretary
Kathleen received the AMI Assistants to Infancy (0-3) Diploma in 1983 as a member of the third graduating class in Rome, Italy. She has 20 years of classroom experience at St. Alcuin Montessori School and The Barbara Gordon Montessori School, both AMI-recognized schools in the Dallas area, and has also served as an early childhood consultant to parents. She is a former member of the Board of Trustees of The Barbara Gordon Montessori School. A licensed R.N., Kathleen has worked in both hospital and office settings. Kathleen has been a member of MINT’s Board of Directors since 2004, serving as Secretary from 2005 to 2011, and President of the Board from 2011 to 2023. She is currently the Secretary of the Board. Both her daughter and stepdaughter attended St. Alcuin Montessori School.
Jodi Campbell, M.B.A., Treasurer
Jodi is the Chief Operating Officer at Lumin Education in Dallas, Texas. She holds a B.B.S. from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas and an M.B.A. and Nonprofit Leadership Certificate from Southern Methodist University, Cox School of Business. Her expertise is in finance, budgeting, human resources, business operations, facility management and strategic planning and her experience includes managing financial systems and accountability for Montessori schools in both the public and private sectors. Jodi is also on the Board of AMI-USF.

Eleanor Latimer, M.B.A.
Eleanor holds a B.A. from Wellesley College, an M.A. from New York University, and an M.B.A. from Harvard University School of Business Administration. She is Six Sigma Black Belt certified in business process improvement and project management, with experience in corporate strategic planning and implementation, operations, marketing, and financial management. She is a 15-year Montessori parent whose two sons attended St. Alcuin Montessori School. She currently serves as President of Montessori Global Growth Fund, a 501(C)(3) that funds Montessori initiatives in under-resourced communities across the globe.
Sylvie Fitzgerald
Sylvie Fitzgerald received her AMI Assistant to Infancy and AMI Primary diplomas from Montessori Institute of North Texas. She holds a B.A. in communication/advertising from Universita’ Per Stranieri of Perugia, Italy, and an MLA in Humanities from Southern Methodist University in Dallas. Sylvie has worked for over eighteen years in Montessori environments as a classroom guide, parent educator, Montessori school owner and administrator. Originally from Togo (West Africa), Sylvie now lives in Dallas with her husband and two children who attended Montessori schools.
Teresa Aquino
Teresa Aquino is AMI (Association Montessori Internationale) certified for birth through age six and has over 20 years of classroom experience in an AMI recognized environment. As a child, she studied at one of the oldest Montessori schools in the Philippines. Upon graduation, she went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from De La Salle University in Manila, a degree that has complemented her ongoing Montessori training over the years. Teresa taught Montessori for four years before emigrating to the United States and obtaining an AMI Primary (3-6) Diploma from the Ohio Montessori Training Institute. She later obtained her AMI Assistants to Infancy (0-3) Diploma at The Montessori Institute in Denver and has trained with Educateurs San Frontieres. Teresa has a robust background in Parent Education and supporting caregivers in their Montessori journey. Included in her work experience is coaching and being course assistant for both 0-3 and 3-6 training courses.
