Join us in one of America’s Montessori capitals.

As one of the most active Montessori regions in the U.S., North Texas is the ideal launch point for your international career.

International Students Welcome

The Montessori Institute of North Texas (MINT) proudly welcomes applicants from all over the world. Each year, we host adult learners from a wide range of countries who bring diverse perspectives and enrich our community of practice. If you are an international applicant, we are pleased to support your journey toward AMI certification through our SEVP certification and the provision of Form I-20, which can be used to apply for an F-1 student visa for eligible diploma courses.

While MINT is not a visa-issuing agency, our administrative team is experienced in preparing the Form I-20 documentation you will need to apply through your local embassy or consulate. We recommend that international students begin their own visa process as early as possible, as timelines can vary by country. Our team is available to answer questions and guide you through the steps to ensure a smooth experience.

Montessori education is an international movement, and the Association Montessori Internationale diploma you will earn at MINT is globally recognized and respected. Whether your goal is to return to your home country as a trained Montessorian, seek opportunities abroad, or connect with an international network of Montessori schools, your training at MINT positions you for success. We believe deeply in cultivating a learning environment that reflects the global reach and relevance of Montessori education.

We are honored to support international students as they pursue meaningful, high-quality Montessori teacher education. If you would like more information about international enrollment, we encourage you to reach out to us directly at info@montessori-mint.org.

How to Prepare to Study in the United States

Tips from Study in the States

MINT is an SEVP-Certified School
Only schools certified by the Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP) can accept international students. You will find MINT in the Study in the States School Search page to see that the Montessori Institute of North Texas is SEVP certified, in relation to the F-1 visa.

Your next step is to apply for admission.

Receive Your Form I-20
Once accepted into MINT as an SEVP-certified school, you will receive a Form I-20, “Certificate of Eligibility for Nonimmigrant Student Status,” from your designated school official (DSO), who will be in contact with you.

The Form I-20 is an important document that you should keep safe, as you will need it throughout the international student process. For more information about the Form I-20 and when you need it, please visit the What is the Form I-20? page on Study in the States.
