Gina Polly Applegate has spent the past 20 years working for AMI schools in the Austin, TX area, as an assistant, a guide in both lower and upper elementary classrooms, and as an administrator. She currently works as a Learning Support Specialist in addition to consulting and presenting staff development workshops. Gina has an undergrad degree in film and a Masters in Education. She is recognized at the associates level with the Orton-Gillingham Academy. She is also a certified ukulele instructor. Gina is passionate about providing opportunities for students with dyslexia and executive functioning struggles to thrive in the Montessori environment. Her husband is an adolescent guide and their two sons are Montessori students. Outside of work, Gina and her family spend summers traversing the globe, most recently spending a month in Colombia.
