Job Description: A young, entrepreneurial family with several businesses and philanthropic interests seeks a Montessori Toddler Guide to support their youngest child in a homeschool environment and home space. The family’s operation relocates regularly, and this position will require flexibility to travel approximately 60-80% of the year. The ideal candidate for the position will hold an AMI diploma at the 0-3 level. The candidate must have at least two years of classroom experience, preferably at an AMI-accredited school. The candidate must be a U.S. Citizen. The desired start date is as soon as possible.

Position Details:

  • Location: Palo Alto, CA 

  • Ages of children: 0-3, up to 5 students per classroom 

  • Start date/Contract dates: As soon as they find the perfect fit

  • Schedule: Full-time, projecting 40-45 hours per week, with the general schedule falling from 8 am to 11 am Monday through Thursday. 

  • Compensation: The family is offering $50-60/hour, which, based on the 40-45 hour/week schedule, equates to a projected annualized base compensation range of $120-143K/year, dependent on experience and weekly overtime accrual. The family may be open to candidates seeking a higher compensation package commensurate with experience.

  • Benefits: The family provides benefits including 4+ weeks of paid time off, paid holidays, fully covered health, dental, and vision insurance, 401K matching, bonus opportunities, and relocation assistance based on candidate need and the full benefits package.

  • Live-in/Live-out: Live-out. The family may offer a landing pad for relocation candidates, and private accommodations at the family’s properties (or nearby) will be provided while traveling.

  • The family’s operation relocates regularly, and this position will require flexibility to travel approximately 60-80% of the year. Additionally, this family will be excited to welcome a candidate who can maintain high discretion and confidentiality. The ability to strategically communicate and collaborate with the parents will be highly valued.

Qualifications: 

  • 3 years of professional childcare experience

  • At least two years of classroom experience working with children in a state-licensed program

  • Experience working with infants and toddlers

  • Valid driver’s license and passport 

  • AMI 0-3 diploma, preferably in conjunction with a Masters of Education; AMS applicants may be considered 

  • Flexibility to travel domestically or internationally is required

  • Fully vaccinated and boosted (when eligible) against COVID-19 prior to the start date in accordance with applicable laws

  • The family takes evidence-based precautions against the transmission of COVID-19 in the workplace, which the ideal candidate will be required to follow.
