Job Description:
Are you up for an adventure? We are a traveling pod school with toddler, primary, and elementary programs (and a forthcoming middle school) looking for an AMI-trained Elementary teacher to join us on our main campus south of San Francisco, and on three remote campuses, as we travel for this year-round program. The elementary program enrolls 10-15 students. We emphasize a broad range of experiences, take full advantage of our varied surroundings, engage in diverse service projects, and celebrate the joy of learning. We are looking for a teacher to join us for the 2024-25 school year, starting June-August 2024 with the possibility to onboard sooner. Position open to US citizens only. Very competitive salary and benefits, all travel expenses paid.

AMI Elementary diploma preferably in conjunction with a Masters of Education; AMS applicants may be considered
4 year college degree
At least two years of classroom experience working with children in a state-licensed program

A genuine passion for elementary education and playing an integral role in the lives of children
Ability to guide families to help them maximize the development of their children
A self-starter -- ability to plan, organize, and multitask with minimal supervision, yet an understanding that the Head of School must approve all plans before implemented
Knowledgeable and proactive with developmental stages and proactive in teaching children
Comfortable driving school car and children in the city, suburban, and rural areas, including snowy and icy conditions
Comfort in rugged outdoor environments
Understand the importance of maintaining balance of warmth and professionalism
Firm yet kind with discipline and on board with parenting philosophy(ies)
Authorization to work in the U.S.
Must have the flexibility to travel nationally and internationally as required; travel is required approximately 75% of the time
