Job Title: Montessori Toddler Guide

Job Description: Forbes Academy, where we put heart, soul and passion into everything we do, is seeking a warm, nurturing, and certified Toddler Montessori Guide to lead our founding Toddler classroom (ages 18 months to 2.9 years). As a key member of our launch team, the Guide will be responsible for creating a peaceful, responsive, and engaging environment aligned with Montessori principles and our school’s values of inclusion, creativity, and community.
Key Responsibilities:
-Guide the social, emotional, and cognitive development of children through the Montessori toddler curriculum.
-Prepare, maintain, and adapt the learning environment based on observations and developmental needs.
-Foster independence, grace and courtesy, and care of self and the environment.
-Communicate with families regularly and compassionately, providing updates and support.
-Work collaboratively with others to support each child holistically.
-Maintain classroom records, observations, and student progress documentation.
-Uphold safety, licensing, and school policies with professionalism and care.

Requirements: Requirements:
-AMI, IMC, AMS, or MACTE-accredited Montessori Certification for Infancy (0–3) – Required
-Minimum 1–2 years experience working in a Montessori toddler or infant environment (lead or assistant)
-Passion for Montessori philosophy and commitment to early childhood development
-Strong communication, observation, and classroom management skills
-CPR/First Aid certified (or willingness to obtain before the start date)
-Must meet Texas DFPS licensing requirements for caregivers in a licensed childcare facility
-Ability to lift up to 40 lbs, sit on the floor, and interact with toddlers at their level

Preferred Qualifications:
-Spanish bilingual (strongly preferred)
-Knowledge of inclusive education practices and working with neurodiverse learners
-Familiarity with Conscious Discipline, Positive Discipline, or similar respectful guidance models
