Job Title: Lower Elementary Montessori Guide (Maternity Leave Coverage)

Job Description
West Suburban Montessori School is seeking a trained elementary Montessori guide to cover a maternity leave in Fall 2025. The position is expected to last approximately 5–6 weeks, likely from late August through mid-October.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
AMI Elementary Montessori certification preferred. Inquire for state or local teaching certification requirements.

Skill Requirements
Experience guiding children ages 6–9 in a Montessori environment. Strong classroom management and communication skills required.

JOB PURPOSE AND RESPONSIBILITY
Provide continuity of Montessori instruction during a maternity leave period. Support students’ academic, social, and emotional development within a prepared environment.

Reporting

Reports to Head of School Patty Eggerding. Collaborates with faculty and administrative staff to maintain classroom quality during the leave period.
