Assistant Guide | Park Cities Montessori | Dallas, TX
Job Description: Park Cities Montessori is looking for some additional guides for our toddler environments. We have established toddler teams who are looking for some additional assistance within the environment. The ideal candidate would be someone who is willing to learn more in how to assist in a Montessori environment. Someone who is interested in training opportunities is also the ideal candidate as we work with MINT often to provide the best training for our guides.
Main Job Description:
Report to the assigned Lead Guide.
Supports the work of the Lead Guide.
Assist in the preparation, maintenance, and cleanliness of the environment.
Support the environment during the work cycle.
Assist the lead guide in the tracking of the children's work.
Assists with preparation of materials and lessons as directed.
After 3:00 pm, assist with After School Activities.
Requirements:
Job Qualifications:
The classroom assistant must possess a love for and interest in children and have background knowledge of their developmental abilities.
Must complete a successful background check.
Be First Aid and CPR certified or willing to receive it.
Must be patient, respectful and understanding of children’s individual needs.
Be willing to work in partnership with her/his teacher and other staff members. He/she must have a sincere interest in continuing her/his own professional growth and show a willingness to learn about Montessori philosophy and education and possess personal emotional maturity, stability, and patience.
Must have 3 years of experience working with children under 3.
Must be able to provide 3 references.
