Job Description:
Pacific Crest School is currently seeking AMI trained Elementary guides to join our experienced Elementary team as we continue to refine and grow our Spanish, Outings and Elementary Aftercare programs in the 2024-25 school year, and prepare to add another classroom.
We are seeking:
1. An AMI trained, native Spanish speaker to bring Montessori curriculum, in Spanish, to children in all of our Elementary classrooms.
2. An AMI trained guide to align our robust Going Out and Aftercare programs with Montessori principles, promoting social development and independence outside of the classroom. This position has a likely trajectory of shifting into a classroom teaching position in the near future.
Entering our 39th year, we are a well established community of dedicated families and staff who strive to create a vibrant Montessori community from Primary through young adolescence. We are guided by our experienced, AMI trained Head of School, leadership and teachers. Pacific Crest is located in a residential block between the dynamic and creative Ballard and Fremont neighborhoods, with a 19 acre farm campus located on nearby Vashon Island.

Requirements:
AMI Elementary diploma, or current enrollment in such a training program
Strong aptitude for working in collaboration with fellow teachers
Commitment to engaging students according to AMI principles of development to create a joyful, engaging learning environment that ignites a love for nature & work, and nurtures wonder, gratitude, dignity, self-discipline and independence.
