Job Title: Primary Assistant and Guide in Training
Job Description: Primary Assistant - As a Primary assistant, you will work closely with the Guide to normalize the classroom. As an assistant your responsibilities will be as follows:
Prepare, maintain and clean the classroom. Help with material making and keep a beautiful orderly space
Organize closets and shelves with clear labels and containers
Protect lessons that the guide is presenting. Help if needed and allow the children to gain independence
Model graceful movement and speech
Observe the children and the guide to understand the community that you are a part of
Be excited and well prepared for outdoor time
Communicate openly and with respect and dignity with everyone
Maintain a positive attitude at all times
Participate in training with interest
Enable transitions in the classroom as needed
Assist younger children in the bathroom as needed
Be available for school events per our school calendar
Be a member of the overall school community and help where needed
Adhere to school policies and procedures as is outlined in the handbook and coordinate with the Administrative team to continue to grow our school and its reputation in the community
Be an ambassador to your parent community by modeling appropriate behavior and verbalizing Fiore / AMI philosophy.
For individuals who show the aptitude, Fiore will offer you sponsorship to train to earn a diploma in Montessori education.
Requirements: - Interest in young children and AMI Montessori
- Excellent communication skills
- Reliability and timely arrivals
- Team player
- Positive attitude and hard worker
- Organized and efficient
- Spanish speaking is a plus
- Experience working with children is a plus
